Great resource for screenwriters!
One of my problems as a new screenwriter is formatting. And each book that I read seems to offer up information that contradicts what the one before it told me.
I’ve looked on sites like Drew’s Script-o-rama for sample scripts, but a lot of those some schmuck has transcribed so they cannot be counted on for accuracy. But thanks to my reading of Writing Movies: The Practical Guide to Creating Stellar Screenplays I have found a great resource.
This website is the companion site to the book. And as a bonus it offers up 5 actual screenplays that are in correct formatting for you to see. This is awesome! The scripts are:
- Thelma and Louise
- Die Hard
- Sideways
- Tootise
- The Shawshank Redemption
When you click on one of the screenplays you will get a message saying that you cannot access the scripts without entering in a user name and password. It points you to the first word of Chapter 3, on page 69 to use as both user name and password.
That word is Enid
Enjoy. Now I am off to issue some bodily harm to the schmuck I hear singing “Little Red Corvette” by the copier here in the office.
