TV writing is a pretty good gig. I mean, assuming that there is no writer’s strike going on and you can actually work and get paid. But anyways, the pay is good yo. And people love their TV, so there is really no worry about all of the jobs drying up.
Over at Cinematical they posted the first of a two part story on Breaking into Television Writing. It is basically a how to for someone that is green and needs to know what steps to take to be a writer for TV. Of course, it is also one of those ‘easier said than done’ sort of things. I mean, not everyone can get a writing fellowship thingie with NBC to put on their resume, can they?
Still, it is a decent read. And I know I will be watching for the second part of the story.
