I saw on the Hollywood Reporter site that the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival narrowed down more than 2,000 short films from around the world to 67 shorts set to compete for a Grand Jury Prize at the event next month.

Then the article goes right into what short has the most celebrities in it. Oh, wait, they called it “highest star wattage.” To that I say – whatever happened to Slamdance being the real indie alternative to Sundance?

Wait, I think I know this one. Hollywood. Hollywood is what happened to it. They can’t leave anything alone can they?

Some of the nominees are listed in the article, so click through if you want the heads up.
