One of the screenwriting contests that I hear a fair amount about is the Script Pimp contest. And that entry deadline is fast approaching.

If you have been reading this site, then you know that I am not a big fan of script contests. I think the entry fee could be better spent on other things. But there are a lot of writers out there that like to enter the contests.

So, if you are one of those people, you have until May 1st to enter the Script Pimp contest. That means that entries need to be postmarked or submitted online by May 1st, 2008.

There are four grand prize winners. Grand prizes are:

  • $3,000 cash
  • Your script sent to 40 companies
  • a five year membership to the Script Pimp Writers’ Database
  • a listing on InkTip
  • and an invite to a ceremony in Hollywood

There are also prizes for 20 finalists. They are:

  • Your script sent to 40 companies
  • a five year membership to the Script Pimp Writers’ Database
  • a listing on InkTip
  • and an invite to a ceremony in Hollywood

Entry fee is $50.00.

If you want to enter or need more info, check out the website.
